About Us

thaddI was raised in the Church, joined the Marines after high school and graduated with a degree in English Education from University of San Diego. Laura and I were married December 28, 2002 and by that time had begun what we thought were normal careers. I enjoyed leading youth group, singing in choir, and teaching Sunday School. But it wasn’t until a short term trip to Kazakhstan, where I taught English, that I more fully understood the vocational calling God put in my heart.

LauraI grew up in a Christian home, but missions was never on my radar screen. God gave me many skills that I used to serve Him in the local church – teaching Sunday School, singing in choir, maintaining our church’s website…  After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Covenant College, I worked in the Web Development field for 8 years.  With each successive job, I felt less satisfied with my work and knew God was calling me to something radically different.

LilliLilli Adelyn was born August 5, 2009.  Her name means “Beautiful Child of the King”.  We are so grateful for her presence in our lives.  God has blessed us so richly through her.
