Ministry

map_goouttoEuropeWe believe that God is spreading His Gospel across the nations, especially Europe. We believe God has called us to use our skills and talents to help European churches reach their own communities. We are blessed to live in Germany and grow as a family with an outward-focused church. We enjoy working throughout Europe with a dedicated team of missionaries.

thaddI work with churches across Europe who are using English as a Foreign Language programs as outreach opportunities to reach many populations in their communities. As a member of the TEFL resources team, I develop, adapt, and implement curriculum to meet the learning needs of youth, immigrant populations, second career adults, and college students who desire to improve their conversational English. These programs are then used to introduce unreached members of a community to the Church in an educational setting using credible and strategically crafted curriculum. I also coordinate short-term teams of teachers to work with these programs in collaboration with local churches. Through TEFL, I am able to meet a need and build relationships which in turn leads to opportunities to share Christ.

LauraWhen we were appointed to serve with GEM in July 2006, I joined the eDOT (Electronic Discipleship, Outreach, and Training) team as a Web Developer.  After completing my first major project (which was a complete revamp of the eDOT team website – www.gemedot.com), our daughter Lilli was born on August 5, 2009.  Since that time, I have enjoyed being a stay at home mother which has enabled me to spend more time reaching out to other moms in our community.  I also help with small eDOT web projects when the opportunity arises.

togetherNow that we have Lilli, God has opened new doors with neighbors, other young families, and friends. We are thrilled to walk this path of life with our German friends and continue to work on our language in order to better communicate. (And it is work.) We also look forward to using English as ways to meet people and share Christ.

gemFor 60 years Greater Europe Mission (GEM) has focused on church planting, discipleship, and evangelism. GEM missionaries seek to be disciples, reflecting Christ wherever and however they serve. They’re ordinary people doing extraordinary things in order to make disciples. More than 300 workers are stationed all over western and eastern Europe and North Africa, and mission leaders are exploring opportunities in Turkey.
