A day in the life of our ministry teams…
Every organization has its quirks and growing pains, especially with leadership change, but this week with Greater Europe Mission (GEM) has shown Laura and me a little more of the org. in general and our teams specifically. More than that is has shown us a bigger picture of how great God is to lead us to these teams and to provide directors who have a desire to use us in God’s work in His way.
3pm: So Thursday I sat in on a meeting with our new president and the TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) team. We shared with him about how God is using TEFL teams to build churches around Europe and N. Africa, and how we see ourselves being a part of resourcing missionaries across Europe and partnering with churches in North America.
3pm: Laura met with her “manager” and brainstormed how she sees her skills and creative energies being put to the best use for God’s work.
4pm: Then Laura with the entire eDOT (electronic Discipleship Outreach and Training) team met with our president to explore the potential technology has to further empower ministries.
5:30pm: Then we joined about 60 other GEM missionaries from the area to hear more news of what God is doing across Europe, within GEM, and significant events that God is moving us all toward in the future. We spent time in prayer for our new office building renovation project and new initiatives across GEM to see 100 new missionaries join the work with Muslims and immigrant groups in Europe.
10:30pm: We headed home to prepare for a new day of language school.
