Dog-sitting

We’ve had a visitor the last few days and her name is Daisy.  She’s joined us on long walks each day and has been generally agreeable.  She belongs to Thadd’s Director who went out of town for a few days.  It’s been fun having a dog for a few days, but I’m sure it’s much like being a grandparent – you love your grandkids and love hanging out with them, but when it’s time for them to go home, that’s okay too.

But we’re left to wonder, who will fetch Thadd’s slippers for him…

This really helps us to fit in around here. Everyone usually takes their shoes off at the door and wears house shoes. Comes in handy when your house is completely tiled with white tile!

Thadd and I are both allergic to cats, but we both grew up with them :-) In general, I also like cats better because they are more independent. But it was fun walking a dog each day and dogs have a bit more energy and enthusiasm for life. Daisy has quite a personality so that made it fun as well. But we too think of $$ and responsibility when it comes to having any kind of pet and since we both travel for our ministries, it just doesn’t seem like it’s worth it.

LOL..by the last line. Glad you hd some fun and enjoyed being grandparents!

I enjoy animals but when I see them I think of allergies,$$ and responsibility. Recently they had a TV show, Greatest American Dog, a reality show to find, the best. I had to watch just because it was so cute how the photo people would capture the dogs expressions. Quite entertaining to watch what they would do or not do and rated G. Some of the dog owners were quite the trip! It was a CBS show if you want to watch some of the episodes on-line to get a good laugh!

I myself grew up with 5 cats only because I was taking allergy shots. I love them as they are independednt and take LESS work.
