Thadd’s 30th Birthday

So we’re a little behind celebrating Thadd’s birthday.  It was on the 11th and we got around to having a party for him on the 22nd.  We invited our small group Bible study and a few other close friends.  It was a lot of fun.  Since I figured our German friends hadn’t had “real” american food, I went all out.  We had real hamburgers on buns that I had to make myself since the ones here aren’t even close to “real”, baked beans, broccoli salad, cut up veggies with dip and a devil food cake with peanut butter icing.  WOW!  I’ve never seen Thadd so excited about a cake before!  It is a beauty!  For his present, a few friends and I all pitched in and bought him a new drill/electric screw driver.  He’s already dreaming of all the wonderful things he’ll make our baby.  I hope I convinced him that a rocking chair will be a disaster – that’s one thing you can’t get uneven!  Thank you for all the birthday cards, presents, and notes – he feels loved by all of you!

I forgot to mention we were also living overseas. I just thought it was funny how our 30th birthdays had so many similarities!

When it was my 30th birthday, Tina was 6 mos pregnant with Lucas, and the “major event” was really anticlimactic, being “celebrated” unbeknownst by our small group bible study, since they served a snack of cookies.

He’s already dreaming of all the wonderful things he’ll make our baby.

Don’t they come pre-made? Are you thinking of making it into a Robo-Baby?

    Anyways, Happy 30th!
