June Update
We just sent this via email – but thought we’d post it here too.
It is with very thankful hearts we write to you to let you know that the eDOT website Laura has worked on so diligently for the past 5 months is complete! This project was a complete remake of the old eDOT website and by far, the most challenging project she’s worked on in her 9 year career as a web developer. Laura’s team has already had someone contact them through the website interested in serving with eDOT. The website is doing what it was created to do! Please visit the website at www.gemedot.com
Thank you for all your prayers regarding this project. There were many hangups, but God granted Laura a lot of wisdom to work through them (even in her pregnant state) and stamina to keep at it! Please continue to pray that this website would recruit people and resources to the work of eDOT.
On to other news, Thadd leaves for Spain June 21 and returns July 4. He will be teaching English at a camp called L’Arcada (www.larcada.com/ing/). We are both excited to see how God will use Thadd during his time there and most of all, that Thadd gets another opportunity this summer to teach English before the baby arrives. You might be wondering how close July 4 is to the due date. Laura is due July 24, so we’re hoping she’s not 3 weeks early
We have many wonderful friends here who have already offered to help Laura during the time Thadd is away. God has truly blessed us in friendships here. Please pray for Thadd’s time in Spain – for the kids he’ll be teaching and that God would use him in the lives of those kids.
Speaking of our little girl, she is growing more into a little person each day. Her jabs, kicks, pokes, hiccups, and dancing remind us of how awesome our God is and how grateful we are that he included us in this miracle. We are preparing for her arrival and look forward to writing our next newsletter while glancing over at her sleeping (or crying….) face.
Finally, we’re making plans to visit the States Nov 2009 – Jan 2010. We will most likely be in FL the whole month of November, traveling up the east coast ending in Baltimore the month of December and flying out to San Diego to be there for the month of January. We will notify you when we’ve completed our arrangements, but in the meantime, if you’d like to meet with us while we’re in your area, please feel free to let us know! Also, please pray for us as we make the arrangements. As much as Laura likes to be a travel agent, the logistics of being home and seeing so many people in such a short time while traveling with a 4-6 month old baby is a bit overwhelming!
Thank you all for praying for us. We are so thankful to God for you all!
In Christ,
Thadd & Laura Davis

I say first babies are usually late..we shall see..does Thadd get to sleep in a tepee?? Looks interesting..the camp. hope he gets some fun in too!
Be careful! Josiah came 3 weeks early, but it is not likely. Your baby girl will be in her prime cuteness when you visit the states at 4-6 months. Hope I get to meet her!
