Classroom Anecdote

So today in class I felt that I finally made a significant breakthrough with my students. We have been studying Acts and we were reading Acts 20:29-32 where Paul reminds us of the way the enemy operates, as savages wolves through distortion of the truth. I felt that many of my students had what we in the teaching profession might call the ever elusive “ah ha moment” otherwise known as an epiphany. They actually responded to my line of ‘what does this mean to you’ questioning with a response that went something like, oh you mean like video games, mtv, ads, and a majority of pop music. The nice thing for me was that it seemed that the students put in the effort to arrive at their own conclusion, a welcome relief from me dragging them to the watering hole of knowledge…
