A cause of prayer…

As Laura and I struggle with discerning God’s will for our lives, prayer and it’s importance seem to be a recurring theme. Providentially, we have been given the opportunity this week to speak in Chapel at Trinity Christian School, where I taught last year, on “thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” from the Lord’s prayer. Fitting I thought as God continues to teach us to pray each day for his will to be done, not just in our actions, words, timing, but in our attitudes, desires, and source of joy. So I share these thoughts as a prayer that we would be more prayerful in our everyday lives and see everything as a way to glorify God in all things as answers to our prayer.

Two sermons from John Piper have greatly impacted our thinking and our chapel talk, links here:

Part 2 “God’s Will”

Thank you for your prayers and we hope that God shows us his will for timing, source of joy and encouragement, and reliance on his son, Jesus Christ, for every good thing.
